Island Air Ambulance is a service of San Juan Island EMS in Friday Harbor, Washington with flight operations (pilots and planes)  leased from Island Air, Inc.  Island Air is FAA State of Washington licensed.  We are currently pursuing CAMTS accreditation.

The medically configured Cessna 207  transports patients requiring rapid evacuation to the mainland.  The aircraft are equipped to accommodate stretcher-bound patients and the medical personnel who accompany them. Patients will generally be flown to the airport nearest the hospital or medical facility at which they are to receive care, and will then be met by an ambulance to complete the transport. The aircraft is IFR (instrument flight rules) certified and Part 135 FAA licensed.

The plane is capable of landing at all major airports and more than 14 island airfields serving San Juan County. The plane is outfitted with all of the necessary equipment and patient carrying devices needed to provide the highest quality care in the air.
