Prevention Education

San Juan Island EMS offers many free community education programs.

We offer many prevention education services.

  • An EMT to come and speak to your school class or assembly.
  • A First Aid or CPR/AED class for your community group.
  • A blood pressure or diabetes screening clinic.
  • A fall prevention talk or personal home fall prevention visit.
  • A free infant or child car seat, or bicycle helmet.
  • Talk about how we can help you with an individualized program.

If you’re in need of a flotation device for your child, look for the “Kids Don’t Float” station at the Friday Harbor Marina or at Roche Harbor for a free loaner jacket!

    Every 15 Minutes

Every 3 years we offer an anti-drinking and driving program called “Every 15 Minutes” which is an experiential high-impact and community involving program aimed at helping high schoolers resist the pressures to drink and drive. Learn More About Every 15 Minutes >>

Life’s lessons are best learned through experience. Unfortunately, when the target audience is teens and the topic is drinking and driving, experience is not the teacher of choice.
