For the past several years, Airlift Northwest, the emergency medical helicopter from Bellingham, has staged here in Friday Harbor on busy weekends in the daytime. They have again agreed to come and stage this summer, to be more easily accessible for emergencies here in the San Juan Islands.
The helicopter will come from the Bellingham base at St. Joe’s Hospital and the crews will be housed at the San Juan Island EMS station at 540 Spring Street.
Look for the helicopter and crew on the following weekends:
July 3,4,5 including participating in the 4th of July Parade if available; July 17,18,19; July 31, August 1,2; August 12,13,14,15 including having an informational table at the County Fair; August 28,29,30; and September 5,6,7 through Labor Day.
