San Juan Island EMS Commissioners

Our 5 commissioners are popularly elected through a vote of the residents of our 7 island District. They provide support, oversight, and direction to San Juan EMS and the Inter Island Medical Center through their service as commissioners on the San Juan County Public Hospital District No. 1 Board.

Monthly Board meetings are hosted at the Frank Wilson EMS Building located at 540 Spring Street in the Town of Friday Harbor. Meetings are generally the 3rd Wednesday of each month beginning at 5:30 PM. These are open to the public. The room is accessible to those with disabilities. We invite you to come and make public comment or inquiry.

Lenore is committed to providing this community with a high standard of healthcare at all levels. She was elected Commissioner and joined the Board in 2004. She is currently the Chairperson for the Board. She welcomes conversation from the community.

J. Michael Edwards

J. Michael Edwards

Dr. J. Michael Edwards is a unique asset to the EMS District. He has earned doctorates in both dentistry and medicine with honors and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He recently retired after a long career as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.

Randi Dooley-Park

Randi Dooley-Park is a newly elected Commissioner of our District. She is a Registered Nurse with a long history of health care experience. She is the Director of Nursing for the Islands Convalescent Center here in Friday Harbor.

Keri Talbott

Keri Talbott

I’ve worked for the Town of Friday Harbor in the finance office for over five years and love my job. I have tons of interaction with the public and work with a great crew. I volunteer with the Town Fire Department along with my husband; and when we aren’t volunteering or working- we love to golf and read. It is very exciting to be working our EMS crew and Hospital staff. It’s a wonderful opportunity and I’m look forward to the challenge of learning.
