Our career and volunteer officers are selected for their experience and expertise in the various areas of oversight needed within San Juan Island EMS.
Apparatus Officer
Maintains operational readiness of our District apparatus and vehicles through NFPA compliance standards.
Disaster Preparedness Officer
Assures the readiness of EMS to respond to limited mass incidents that will stretch our system capability.
Flight Officer
Assures the ongoing effectiveness and safety of our fixed wing BLS transport program through Island Air Ambulance operations.
HIPAA Officer
Assures the highest available security for personal medial information and sensitive records in physical and electronic formats along with Federal Red Flag Rules compliance standards.
Interoperable Communications Officer
Assures the ongoing effectiveness of agency based interoperable communications and interagency liaison in radio and data communications matters.
Prevention Officer
Works to offer community based educational opportunities including CPR, first aid, and our helmet and car seat programs. Additionally, most of the grant application process is also handles here to offer these services without tax dollars being utilized.
Marine Officer
Oversees the off-island rescue and water based transportation safety, education, and risk management program of all water based operations.
Public Information Officer
Works with the media and related new agencies to maintain accurate and appropriate information about operations and rescue activities.
Safety Officer
Coordinates our efforts across disciplines to assure the utmost safety in all aspects of our operations.
Supply Officer
Maintains adequate and appropriate levels of needed medical equipment.
Support Officer
Serves within our agency to enhance internal preparedness for emergencies and meet the non-clinical needs of our responders.
Technology Officer
Coordinates researched devices, systems, and tools which enhance our ability to provide safe and effective patient care and operations.
Training Officer
Coordinates the initial and ongoing education of our EMS personnel to the highest standards.
Transport Officer
Coordinates scheduled non-emergency transportation requests for the agency.
