2024 EMT Course Information
San Juan Island EMS is seeking individuals interested in serving their community by becoming certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). You are invited to apply to participate in the intensive 4-month training consisting of 190 hours of education beginning in January 2024. If accepted into the course, upon completion and certification as an EMT, individuals in good standing with the agency will be offered a volunteer position at San Juan Island EMS and course costs will be reimbursed.
San Juan Island EMS hosts Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) courses every two or three years. EMT courses are open to the general public and fulfill the necessary requirements to sit for the National Registry exam and become a certified EMT in Washington State.

An informational session regarding the course will be held on November 1st, 2023, at 6pm.

Dates:
The course will begin on January 6th, 2023, and end on April 24th, 2023. All applications must be submitted by November 6th, 2023. Applicants will be notified of admission by November 10th, 2023.
