The Remember Alex Brown Foundation was established to teach teenagers about the dangers of distracted driving by the surviving parents of a girl who lost her life to texting while driving.

A local student at the Friday Harbor Elementary School saw this family’s efforts on the TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and wants to help spread the word.

As you drive today, please put your cell phone away and drive safely. Your messages will be there when you arrive at your destination. Make sure that you arrive safely, too.
