Enroll Your Cell / Home Phones to Get Emergency Updates
The San Juan Department of Emergency Management now has a tool in place that allows islanders to enroll their email, cell phone, and home phone in the emergency notification system. In a critical emergency, they can use this tool to reach out to residents via email, text message, or in some cases, recorded messages sent to home phones. This tool will be used rarely, and only in situations that are unexpected and significant in nature. Islanders may register by going to www.sanjuandem.net/alerts and clicking on hard to miss orange box that will take them to the sign up page.
