Grant Funds Active Shooter Training

EMTs, paramedics, deputy’s, nurses and more received dynamic training on tactical field care in the case of an active shooter.  The HRSA Grant brought Ryan Rathbun to San Juan Island EMS on a regularly scheduled training night to speak about how to care for victims under fire from an active shooter.  The training included the use of tourniquets, triage and packing wounds to control bleeding.  Orcas, Shaw and Lopez attended the training via live polycom.  For more photos you can visit our Facebook page.
