San Juan County Public Hospital District No. 1 Passes Annual State Audit
San Juan County Public Hospital District #1 received a clean bill of health from our financial audit for fiscal year of 2020. Since the District is a government entity, the Washington State Auditor’s office requires all financial documentation to be provided for a yearly review; this audit process is normal and routine.
According to the Financial Statements Audit Report, release February 22nd, 2022, “The results of our tests disclosed no instances of noncompliance or other matters that are required to be reported under Government Auditing Standards.” Commissioner and Financial Officer for the District Everett Clary stated, “I’m proud to be able to say that San Juan County Public Hospital District #1 is fully compliant in accordance with Washington State financing standards.”

San Juan County Public Hospital District #1 currently operates the Village at the Harbor and San Juan Island EMS. The District pays a large subsidy to support PeaceHealth Peace Island Medical Center.
