I have been teaching CPR in all its varying forms since 1984. When I began teaching the survival rates were 2-5 % nationwide. If my loved one went down that is a far better chance than zero. Today the survival rates have climbed to 26% nationwide with Washington in the lead at 48%. Here in San Juan County over a recent 5 year period our survival rates are 68%. This incredible increase in returning to a full life is thanks to you, our community. I thank you for taking courses and getting educated. I thank you for being willing to put yourselves out by helping out for family, friends or strangers. Thank you, we are so blessed in this community.
