Water Egress Training Offered

San Juan Island EMS and Medevac (Island Air Ambulance) is offering water egress training to its personnel and SJPA pilots through the gracious support of Island Air, Inc.

Besides EMS personnel is is open free of charge to SJPA members.

Tuesday January 15th, 6:00 – 7:00 pm.
At the new Frank Wilson San Juan EMS building at 1079 Spring Street in Friday Harbor.

San Juan Pilots Association members have been invited to attend a lecture on emergency water egress training by Brian Webster of Aviation Egress Systems, Victoria BC. The lecture is a formal training session for Island Air Ambulance, but they have opened the lecture to local pilots. This is a very well regarded program.

There will be no actual pool experience combined with this program at this time, but is being planned for later in the year.  This program is being offered to SJPA free of charge, sponsored by Island Air, in the interest of promoting important safety information within the local community.
